Design and Planning of Laboratory Strong and Weak Current System

The function of laboratory construction involves a number of complex process technologies such as water supply and drainage, ventilation and exhaust, strong and weak electricity, fire protection, collection and treatment of waste gas and waste liquid, and central heating and gas supply. Therefore, the construction of a key laboratory is a very complicated project. Today, Shuyu will tell you about the design and planning of the power distribution system.

1. Laboratory Power Distribution System

The power distribution system is designed according to the specific requirements of experimental instruments and equipment, through professional designers to integrate various factors, which is very different from ordinary buildings.

Because the requirements of laboratory equipment for circuits are more complex, it is not what people usually think, as long as the requirements of maximum voltage and maximum power are met. In fact, many instruments and equipment have special requirements for circuits (such as electrostatic grounding, power-off protection, equipotential connection, etc.), which require rich professional personnel to design and configure in the early stage.

The design of the power distribution system should not only consider the existing instruments and equipment, but also consider the development plan of the laboratory for several years, and fully consider the reservation of the power distribution system and the maintenance of the circuit in the future.

In order to ensure the reliable protection of power, uninterruptible power supply or dual-line design should also be considered. The capacity of uninterruptible power supply should meet the actual needs and ensure a certain range of amplification to meet the needs of future development.

In addition, for some special areas, such as gas cylinders, explosion-proof electrical components should be used to ensure that there is no potential safety hazard. The sockets on the wall should fully consider the needs. For example, the sample room should be reserved for the sockets of the refrigerator, the pre-processing room should be prepared for the sockets of the centrifuge, the sockets of the automatic shoe cover machine should be reserved at the door, and the distribution of some sockets should also be considered on both sides of the corridor. These many details are very easy to be ignored.

2. laboratory weak current system

Weak current system mainly includes telephone, monitoring, access control, network, etc. Weak current system has a feature that cannot be changed after preset, so it cannot be changed according to requirements like strong current lines. For example, the network interface should be juxtaposed with the wall plug, and the height should be just above the test bench, so that it is convenient for future use.

Enough network interfaces should be reserved in the instrument room. Instead of using ground plug, enough thread ends should be reserved to facilitate the connection of the instrument table to the network interface during installation. If the corridor is very long, telephone lines can be reserved at the remote end to facilitate receiving and making phone calls during work. Due to the good sound insulation effect in sterile indoor and outdoor rooms, intercom phones should be preset to facilitate communication. The access control system should be located at the main entrance of the laboratory on each floor or other places where access control is required. These details are easily overlooked without professional design knowledge.
